Privacy Policy
Effective date: March 21, 2026. This Privacy Policy describes how Dadventures ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, discloses, sells, shares, and otherwise processes personal information in connection with our websites, mobile apps, and related services (collectively, the "Service"). It should be read together with our Terms of Service, which include important limitations of liability and disclaimers.
1. Scope
This policy applies to personal information we process when you use the Service, visit our marketing pages, or otherwise interact with us online or through our apps. It does not apply to websites or services we do not control (for example, third-party venues, payment processors' standalone policies, or social networks you use outside our Service).
2. Personal information we collect
"Personal information" means information that identifies, relates to, describes, or is reasonably capable of being associated with you or your household. Depending on how you use the Service, we may collect:
- Identifiers and account data: such as name, email address, optional phone number, account identifiers, and similar contact or account details you provide when you register or communicate with us.
- Profile, family, and preferences: including billing or home-area information used to determine plan availability or density, parent preferences, memberships, and similar settings you provide.
- Information about children in your household: such as ages, interests, and needs you enter to personalize plans. We do not require children's full names to use core features; you choose what to enter. You represent that you have authority to provide this information.
- Location-related information: if you enable location features (for example, "near me" or map experiences), we may collect or derive approximate or precise location from your device or through your IP address, as described when we collect it and in your device settings. Under some laws, precise geolocation may be treated as sensitive personal information.
- User-generated content: such as feedback, photos, notes, or other materials you upload, post, or send through the Service.
- Commercial and transaction information: such as subscription tier, purchase history, and payment-related records processed by our payment providers (for example, Stripe). We generally do not receive your full payment card number on our servers; our processors handle card data subject to their terms and privacy notices.
- Device, network, and usage data: such as device type, operating system, browser or app version, IP address, cookie identifiers, advertising and mobile identifiers, language settings, diagnostic logs, and information about how you interact with the Service (for example, pages viewed, features used, taps, clicks, session duration, and crash reports).
- Push notification tokens: if you opt in to notifications, we may collect device tokens or similar identifiers needed to deliver push messages to your device.
- Inferences: we may derive information from the above data, such as preferences, approximate interests, or likelihood of engagement with certain features or content.
We do not intentionally collect biometric identifiers, health information, or government ID numbers through the Service unless we specifically ask for them and describe how we use them.
3. How we collect information
We obtain personal information from:
- Directly from you when you create an account, complete forms, use features, upload content, or contact us.
- Automatically when you use our websites or apps (for example, through cookies, pixels, SDKs, server logs, and similar technologies).
- From service providers and partners who help us operate the Service, including authentication, hosting, analytics, advertising, payment processing, and fraud prevention.
- From third parties where permitted by law, such as data enrichment or measurement partners, or when you connect or interact with third-party services through the Service.
4. Cookies and similar technologies
We may use cookies, local storage, pixels, tags, and similar technologies on our websites and in our apps to operate the Service, remember preferences, understand usage, measure performance, and support advertising and analytics. Where required, we will obtain consent before using non-essential cookies or similar technologies. You can control many cookies through your browser or device settings; blocking some technologies may affect functionality.
5. How we use personal information
We use personal information to:
- Provide, operate, maintain, and improve the Service (including plans and personalization).
- Authenticate users, secure accounts, and prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents.
- Process payments and subscriptions and manage billing.
- Communicate with you about the Service, updates, support, and (where permitted) marketing and promotional messages. You can opt out of promotional emails using the unsubscribe link in those messages or by contacting us.
- Deliver and measure advertising on our Service and, where permitted, on third party sites and apps, including through interest-based or cross-context advertising.
- Analytics and measurement to understand audiences, usage patterns, and campaign effectiveness, including product analytics and experiments through providers such as PostHog (events like page views, sign-up and subscription milestones, and which marketing hero copy variant you saw on our site).
- Commercial and monetization purposes, including to develop, market, and monetize the Service, which may include selling or sharing personal information as defined under applicable law (for example, making personal information available to advertising or data partners for targeted or cross-context advertising).
- Research and product development, including aggregated or de-identified analysis where permitted.
- Comply with law, respond to lawful requests, enforce our Terms of Service, and protect rights, safety, and property.
6. How we disclose and "sell" or "share" information
We may disclose personal information to:
- Service providers and contractors who process data on our behalf under appropriate confidentiality and security terms (for example, hosting, customer support, email delivery, analytics, and security).
- Payment processors (such as Stripe) to process payments you authorize.
- Authentication providers (such as Clerk) to manage sign-in and account security.
- Advertising, analytics, and measurement partners (including PostHog for product analytics and A/B tests) for ad delivery, audience creation, attribution, and measurement. These disclosures may constitute a "sale" of personal information or "sharing" for cross-context behavioral advertising under U.S. state privacy laws, as those terms are defined in your jurisdiction.
- Professional advisors (such as lawyers and accountants) where necessary.
- Law enforcement and others when required by law, legal process, or to protect rights, safety, and security.
- Parties to a business transaction such as a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, subject to applicable law.
- With your direction or consent, for example when you choose to share content or connect third-party services.
We do not intentionally sell personal information of minors under 16 years of age for monetary consideration where that sale is prohibited without affirmative authorization under applicable law.
7. Sale and sharing; targeted advertising
Depending on how you use the Service and how laws define "sale," "sharing," or "targeted advertising," our use of personal information for advertising and analytics partners may constitute a sale or sharing of personal information as those terms are defined in your state or country. By using the Service, you acknowledge that we may engage in these practices as described in this policy and in our Terms of Service.
Where required by law (such as in California), you may have the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information or targeted advertising. To exercise rights that may apply to you, contact us at support@dadventure.com with your request and enough information for us to verify and process it. We may offer additional opt-out mechanisms in the Service or on this site as required by law.
8. Children
The Service is not directed to children under 13 to register their own account. Adults may create an account and enter information about children to personalize plans. If you are a parent or guardian, you are responsible for the information you provide about minors. If you believe we have collected personal information from a child in a way that violates applicable law, contact us at support@dadventure.com.
9. Retention
We retain personal information for as long as needed to provide the Service, fulfill the purposes described in this policy, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Retention periods vary depending on the type of information and the context (for example, we may retain account data for the life of your account plus a period afterward, and backup or log data for shorter or longer periods as required for operations or security).
10. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, loss, or misuse. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
11. Your choices and privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port certain personal information, and to opt out of certain processing (including sale, sharing, or targeted advertising as defined under applicable law). You may also have the right to appeal our decisions about your requests where required by law. To make a request, contact support@dadventure.com. We may need to verify your identity before responding and may deny requests where permitted by law.
California residents: The California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as amended by the CPRA, may grant you rights including the right to know categories and specific pieces of personal information we collect, the right to delete, the right to correct inaccurate information, the right to opt out of sale/sharing and certain uses of sensitive personal information, and the right not to receive discriminatory treatment for exercising your rights. You may designate an authorized agent to submit requests where permitted by law.
Other U.S. states: If you reside in a state with a comprehensive privacy law, you may have similar rights. Submit requests to support@dadventure.com and we will respond in accordance with applicable law.
EEA, UK, and Switzerland: If you are in these regions, you may have rights under applicable data protection laws, including to access, rectify, erase, restrict or object to certain processing, and to data portability. You may also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. Where we rely on consent, you may withdraw it at any time. Where we rely on legitimate interests, you may object as permitted by law.
12. International transfers
We are based in the United States. If you access the Service from outside the United States, you understand that your information may be transferred to, stored in, and processed in the United States or other countries where we or our providers operate, which may have different data protection rules than your country. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers.
13. Automated processing
We may use automated systems and algorithms to personalize content, plans, and marketing. We do not use solely automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects about you without human involvement, except where permitted by law and with any required notice.
14. Aggregated and de-identified information
We may create aggregated or de-identified information that cannot reasonably be used to identify you. We may use and disclose such information for any lawful purpose without additional notice.
15. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated policy on this page and revise the effective date. If changes are material, we will take additional steps as required by law (which may include notice by email or in the Service).
